1. Information Manager
The Clean Master team is responsible for processing and protecting all data you generate while using this application.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect the minimum data necessary to ensure basic functionality and continuous optimization, categorized into the following two types:
2.1 Permissions You Provide
Application Permissions: The core functions of this application (junk file cleanup and large file cleanup) require the "MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE" permission to ensure comprehensive phone cleaning services. With this permission, we can scan your entire phone to identify and clean various residual files, including log files, temporary files, redundant application installation packages, and other invalid files. Simultaneously, based on full-disk file scan analysis, we can accurately locate various large files, covering images, audio, video, and document files in formats such as text, PDF, and DOC. It is important to note that if you do not grant this permission, the core functions of this application, such as junk file cleanup and large file cleanup, will not function properly, affecting your user experience.
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
When you use this application, the system anonymously collects the following device and network information for performance analysis and compatibility optimization only, and cannot identify individuals:
• Device Overview: Model, Android version, CPU model and usage, total RAM/storage and usage rate, screen resolution, ad ID.
• Battery Status: Capacity, health status, current battery level, voltage.
• Operating Environment: Application version, network connection type (Wi-Fi/Mobile Data).
3. What is the purpose of collecting this information?
We collect relevant information primarily for the following purposes to ensure that you receive a safe, efficient, and continuously optimized service experience:
3.1 Implementing Core Cleanup Functions
By analyzing file characteristics, usage patterns, and system environment, we accurately identify cleanable items such as duplicate files, cache files, and residual installation packages, providing you with accurate and effective storage space management services.
3.2 Continuously Improve Recognition Accuracy and Efficiency
Based on anonymized data, we continuously train and optimize the recognition model, enhancing its ability to judge different file types and usage scenarios. This allows for smarter differentiation between useful and junk files, reducing the risk of accidental deletion.
3.3 Optimize Product Experience and Interaction Design
Analyzing function usage frequency, operation paths, and performance feedback helps us understand your actual needs, thereby adjusting the interface design, simplifying operation processes, and specifically improving software performance and stability.
3.4 Assist in Handling User Issues and Needs
When you contact the support team or report usage problems, relevant logs and information will be used to diagnose the cause and verify the operation scenario, enabling us to respond to your inquiries more quickly and accurately and provide effective solutions.
We always value your privacy and data security. All information collection and use strictly comply with relevant laws and regulations, and we take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from misuse or disclosure.
4. How Long Will Your Personal Information Be Retained?
Generally, we will retain personal information for the necessary time, in accordance with the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or the requirements of applicable law. Once the collection purpose has been achieved, or after we confirm your deletion request, or after we terminate the operation of the corresponding service, we will cease retaining and deleting or anonymizing personal information, unless required or permitted by applicable law. In this case, your personal information will be segregated and will not be processed further except to fulfill legal obligations and for other purposes permitted by applicable law. Your personal information may only be provided to parties permitted by applicable law. Once the corresponding retention period expires, such personal information will be deleted or anonymized.
5. Third-Party Services
To optimize application functionality, improve service quality, and support business operations, this application may integrate or access services provided by third parties (hereinafter referred to as "Third-Party Services") during the provision of services. The use of Third-Party Services aims to better meet your usage needs, such as optimizing product performance through data analysis, supporting the application's free provision through advertising services, and supplementing core functions through professional tool services.
6. Security
The internet environment is not absolutely secure. Although we have invested significant resources in implementing the aforementioned industry-standard protection measures and continuously update our security strategies based on technological developments, no security measure can promise or guarantee 100% security. In the rare event of a potential information security incident, we will immediately activate our emergency response plan, fulfill our notification and reporting obligations in accordance with laws and regulations, and make every effort to take all reasonable measures to control the situation and minimize its impact.
Information security is a shared concern with you. We strongly recommend that you also take proactive measures (such as properly safeguarding your account passwords, changing passwords regularly, using complex passwords, and not logging in on public devices) to work with us to build a safer service environment. We will continuously strive to improve our security protection capabilities and strictly abide by relevant laws and regulations to safeguard your information security.
